The official theme song for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™ Revealed
“Boom Se Se” Set to Echo Through Paradise Arena
The official theme song for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™ has been revealed, bringing a local touch to the highly anticipated tournament. Titled “Boom Se Se”, the song is performed by popular Seychellois artists Elijah and Taniah and produced by Dareal Thing.
A Song Inspired by Seychelles’ Heritage
Unveiled during a special event in Victoria, the song draws inspiration from Seychelles’ cultural past. The title “Boom Se Se” originates from a traditional Seychellois game, symbolizing how far the island nation has come—from its rich heritage to now welcoming the world to Seychelles for this historic FIFA event.
“For me, writing this song was about celebrating where we’ve come from and the exciting moment of hosting such a major event,” said Elijah. The artist collaborated with Taniah, believing she was the perfect choice to bring the song’s energy to life.
A Song for the World to Sing Along
The song is designed to be catchy and easy to sing, making it accessible to both locals and international fans. According to Elijah, the early public response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many already embracing its lively rhythm.
A Celebration Beyond Music
Sunday’s launch event was more than just a musical debut. Fans were able to purchase official tournament memorabilia, and children had the chance to take photos with TiKay™, the tournament’s mascot.
A Historic FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
Taking place from 1 May to 11 May 2025, the tournament marks a milestone for Africa and Seychelles as the first-ever FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup held on the continent.
Originally part of the Beach Soccer World Championships (1995-2004) before coming under FIFA’s umbrella, the tournament became an annual event until 2009, when it transitioned to a biennial format. The 2025 edition will be the seventh since this change.
Seychelles secured the hosting rights after competing against bids from the UAE, Thailand, Bahrain, and Colombia. FIFA’s decision highlights confidence in Seychelles’ ability to stage world-class sporting events.
Tournament Format & Excitement Ahead
The competition will feature 16 teams split into four groups, playing over 10 action-packed days. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout rounds, leading to an intense final where the next Beach Soccer World Champion will be crowned.
As the countdown to FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™ continues, “Boom Se Se” is set to become the soundtrack of this unforgettable event, uniting fans from around the world in the heart of paradise.
