First Seychellois on European Trial in Marseille
In October 2021 Hoareau was named captain of his school football team in Mont Fleuri. AND NOW is currently on trial at Olympique de Marseille, one of the biggest clubs in France and Europe! This is a first for Seychelles!
September 2021, young Lorenzo Hoareau was called up to the senior national team for a friendly tournament in Comoros. He made his debut for Seychelles in a friendly against the hosts on September 1, 2021. Three days later, he scored his first goal for the country in a loss to Burundi. He scored in a senior international match for an African nation at the age of 14 years and 247 days. He is also the second-youngest player to score in a major international tournament worldwide, after Myanmar’s Aung Kyaw Tun.
