Air Seychelles Expands Flight Services for the Festive Season
Air Seychelles has announced an exciting expansion of its flight services in preparation for the busy festive season. This strategic move is designed to provide passengers with a wider array of options when selecting their holiday destinations, ensuring a seamless travel experience during one of the year’s most popular travel periods.
Beginning in December and continuing through early January, Air Seychelles will introduce a new flight on Wednesdays, resulting in an average of four flights per week. This additional service aims to accommodate the influx of travelers eager to explore the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture of the Seychelles, making it easier than ever for holidaymakers to reach this idyllic paradise.
In response to the growing demand during peak travel times, the Seychelles’ national carrier is also enhancing its services to Johannesburg, South Africa. A fourth weekly flight will be added, featuring a new Saturday evening departure that will enable travelers to depart the Seychelles and arrive in Johannesburg just in time for the weekend. Furthermore, a convenient return journey will be available early Sunday morning, offering flexibility for both leisure travelers and those on business trips.
The airline is also set to expand its schedule for Mumbai, India, with additional flights operating from December 18 to January 1 of the following year. Passengers can look forward to three extra flights on Wednesdays, facilitating a twice-weekly service to Mumbai. This enhancement not only supports increased connectivity between Seychelles and India but also caters to the growing demand for travel to and from this bustling metropolis.
In addition to these changes, Air Seychelles has optimized its Saturday flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka. The departure time will now be adjusted to 5:30 PM, significantly improving connection times to various destinations offered by Air Seychelles’ codeshare partner, SriLankan Airlines. This adjustment is especially advantageous for visitors arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, allowing for a swift one-hour connection without the need for a visa, thereby streamlining the travel process for international visitors.
Moreover, the airline is thrilled to introduce a seasonal service to Reunion Island, a French overseas department, which will be operational from December 30 to January 18 of next year. This new route will provide travelers with yet another attractive destination to explore, showcasing the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity within the Indian Ocean region.
Charles Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming changes, stating, “We are excited to announce additional flights for the upcoming festive season, allowing passengers even more options for their favorite destination. Additionally, our new nonstop flights to La Reunion provide significant time savings over previous indirect flight options. As this will be a very busy holiday period, we recommend everyone to book their flights as soon as possible.”
With these exciting developments, Air Seychelles aims to enhance the travel experience for its passengers, making it easier for them to create unforgettable memories during the festive season. As travelers prepare for their holiday adventures, the expanded flight options will undoubtedly make Air Seychelles a preferred choice for exploring the beauty of the Seychelles and beyond.
